Hello!
Thank you for visiting Sarah Kennett Art & Design!
A bit about me:
I was born and raised on Long Island, NY - I lived there with my family of 5 for 18 years. I discovered art in my senior year of high school. Kind of a late bloomer, but I spent more time playing the flute in the school band then with a paintbrush in hand in my earlier years. When I had the time to take the extra-curriculars in my senior year, I knew that art was something that I wanted to pursue. I went to the University of Idaho and completed a Bachelor's Degree for Art & Design. There, I worked in a variety of mediums including photography, mixed media, painting, and sketch. I took a semester off to complete an internship at Walt Disney World. The leading company in the hospitality industry pointed me in the direction of event design. And that is where I focused my career.

After graduation, a summer of photography school, and a few other life events, I found myself in Montana, this time with a family of my own. Choosing stability over creativity, I took a desk job. There, professionalism, teamwork, and creativity took a front seat while artistic ability rode in the back for a while. Fortunately, I was able to share my talents in company relevant places and I was tasked with brand design and creative problem solving; those essential skills have proven highly valuable!
When my husband decided to pursue his passion and go back to school to enhance his career, it put me into a reality check. What was my passion? What did I want to do? At what seemed like just the right time, painting came back into my life. I started doing daily sketches, working the talent muscles that had been asleep for quite a while. It seemed that, like riding a bike, things came back quickly.
Now, after a year of practice and personal work, I am putting those skills to work for you. Family art portraits, business branding design, or just a simple greeting card for a family member, tell me how can I help you?
My art is heavily imaginative, challenges the rules of what is possible, and seeks bring joy.
Anything is possible on a blank page. What can I help you create?
